I am Richard Ball, a freelance video editor based in North Yorkshire. I edit television programmes and corporate films.
I produce the entire programme :
I digitise and edit the footage into a well-paced film,
I create motion graphics for title sequences and on-screen information,
I choose suitable music and mix the sound to broadcast standards.
With 12 years video editing experience including 6 years at the BBC, I have a proven track record of delivering to the highest standard.
EDIT FACILITIES
I use a Final Cut Pro HD edit suite, fully kitted out with HDCam, DVCam and HDV tape machines.
Located at Tadcaster, North Yorkshire; it's easily accessible between Leeds and York, on the A64, just off the M1.

JANUARY 2010
I'm editing the conference videos for the restaurant chain Table Table. All the general managers will come to learn about the future developments of their successful brand. Their teams will then attend 3 days of workshops where the videos reinforce the key messages.
DECEMBER 2009
I've edited a staff incentive video for Whitbread. 'Mini Gotcha!' is a video showing a staff member being given a brand new Mini as a big thank you for her sales work. Exec members were disguised and pretended that her car had been stolen, before revealing her prize. Watch

I'm editing the staff training videos for Mercedes-Benz. 'Road to Perfection' is a customer focused training programme with actors depicting different customer types.
OCTOBER 2009
I'm editing the conference videos for the restaurant group Paramount. My edits are lively, short films including inspirational interview clips of staff and customers. I'm also editing the conference opener, an important film which sets the tone and expectations for everyone attending.
SEPTEMBER 2009
I'm editing the films for the Costa Coffee Christmas conference.
Christmas is an important sales period with new food and drink to celebrate the season.
I'm editing hours of interviews with staff and customers into concise videos which support the main messages of the conference.
CARBON NEUTRAL
I am commited to reducing my impact on the environment. My office is powered by Juice renewable energy and I offset my carbon footprint by supporting the local Yorkshire Dales tree planting scheme.
